Overview

Sr. Principal Electrical Rack Engineer (Rack Integration Solutions) focused on driving electrical and power solutions for high-performance computing systems within Jabil’s Intelligent Infrastructure Segment.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end integration and testing of rack electrical solutions, including medium/low voltage power, UPS, and PDUs.
• Consult on system architecture and assess technical requirements during quoting.
• Oversee design progressions during product developments and mentor/lead others to build design capability.
• Build accurate rack power budgets and model electrical capacity for high-density server/switch configurations.
• Ensure rack designs meet safety and certification requirements such as NEC/NFPA, IEEE, and UL/IEC.
• Perform electrical failure-mode analysis (FMEA and root-cause investigations) and define/validate factory electrical test strategies.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical systems integration.
• 4+ years of specific experience in rack-scale electrical/power design and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (required).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, integration strategies, and large-scale program management.
• Hands-on experience with electrical safety tests such as hi-pot, ground-bond, leakage current, and continuity checks.
• Proficiency with electrical tools and simulations (e.g., AutoCAD, Ansys, PSpice, SCADA, DCIM).
