Staff Engineer (Manual Testing)

Overview

Staff Engineer (Manual Testing) responsible for hands-on system verification and quality assurance across complex software systems.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute hands-on manual testing, including test plans, scenarios, test data, and detailed test cases.
• Lead formal test cycles, including writing/reviewing Software Verification Plans and participating in release verification.
• Own end-to-end defect investigation, including reproduction, documentation, and verification of fixes.
• Contribute to requirements, architecture, and design reviews to improve testability and risk coverage.
• Troubleshoot issues across UI, services, integrations, and database layers.
• Support automation outcomes by maintaining automation suites and identifying automation candidates from manual insights.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve efficiency and coverage while mentoring testers.

What you'll need

• 14+ years of hands-on manual testing and system verification experience for complex software systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong RDBMS knowledge with hands-on SQL, and experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, including execution tracking and defect triage/reporting.
• Foundational knowledge of test automation concepts (frameworks, execution, results analysis).
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or workflows used in quality engineering.
