Staff Engineer - PCB Design

Overview

Staff Engineer for PCB design, focused on high-speed PCB layout work for SSD and related form factors.

What you'll do

• Apply strong PCB technical knowledge for high-speed layouts using HDI technology.
• Lead PCB design and development for SSD drive PCBs, EDSFF (E3.S, E1.L, E3.L), and U.2 form factors.
• Create evaluation and test PCB layouts and daughter card layouts.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards (IPC) and regulatory requirements (UL, IEC).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PCB design and manufacturing.
• Maintain documentation for PCB designs, modifications, and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with hardware, simulation (SI/PI), and mechanical engineering teams to integrate PCBs into systems.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of experience in PCB design & development and ability to deliver complex PCB layouts as an individual contributor.
• Proficiency in Cadence Allegro for PCB design.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and HDI stackups/via technologies.
• Knowledge of power delivery network routing using PMIC devices.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe4/5/6, ONFI4.0/ONFI5.0, and SMBus/I2C placement and routing considerations.
• Strong DFM/DFA constraints knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.
