Overview
Associate Mechanical Design Engineer designing and developing mechanical solutions for advanced milk harvesting technologies for digital agriculture.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and validate mechanical components, assemblies, and system solutions for dairy farming applications.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering documentation in Siemens NX within a Teamcenter environment.
- Plan, execute, operate, and present laboratory and field tests to validate product performance and reliability.
- Apply simulation techniques such as structural analysis and fluid flow evaluation for design optimization.
- Ensure design for manufacturability and assembly efficiency to support product quality.
- Interface with enterprise systems such as SAP and maintain accurate engineering and product-related data.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering or product development.
- Includes experience/proficiency with 3D CAD modeling using Siemens NX (preferred; other CAD software considered).
- Experience with prototyping, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and design for manufacturability.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications for technical documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with SAP and PLM systems is desirable.
- Good written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of German is considered beneficial.
